Adding the line of Milltek Sport cats and downpipes to your O.CT chipped A6 will be a rewarding and exhilarating experience. A custom O.CT chip is mated to the full Milltek turbo-back exhaust for results that speak for themselves...

Milltek Downpipes/Cats A6 2.7T 6-Speed Only

Constructed of 60mm stainless with proper fitting of all sensors and mount points (sensors are REAR of cats, not as pictured). Notice the full flex-pipe construction that insures proper fit, no matter what the temperature the entire system reaches. 332hp with big fat torque of 391 lb/ft that delivers.

Kit requires an O.CT chip and Milltek catback exhaust. Included with the kit are Milltek downpipes/cats, 5 bar fuel pressure regulator, O.CT Stage 3 chip upgrade). Highly suggested is the AMS upgraded Throttle Body Boot, 1 Pair HyperBoost valves and a K&N panel air filter. 6-Speed only. If you own a previous Stage O.CT kit, your ECU will be re-programmed. All O.CT A6 Stages have unique software by Stage.

Cats are premium quality with continuous stainless steel cores with high precious metal coating for long term emissions control (see below for technical details). Click here or the dyno chart image at the left for a larger view.

More on pricing:

bulletPricing is $2,050 (includes downpipes and O.CT Stage 3 chip upgrade from Stage 2) for the O.CT Stage 3 (requires O.CT Stage 2).
bulletPricing is $4190 if you have no O.CT or Stratmosphere recommended products.

Some technical details about the catalysts in this phenomenal system:

milltek_s4_downpipes_close.jpg (117515 bytes)These catalysts are made from special stainless steel containing aluminum (called ‘Fecralloy’). This material was developed in England in the 1970’s specifically to provide resistance to oxidation at very high temperatures. The material is used as a very thin strip (2 thousandths of an inch) and is coiled together to make a honeycomb structure. Because the metal strip is so thin, the honeycomb has a very low flow-obstruction. To reduce the flow-obstruction even further, the honeycomb is made with 200 ‘cells’ (i.e. channels) per square inch (compared with 400 per square inch for a standard catalyst ). The result is that about 85% of the total cross-section is open. The honeycomb is held together by using a special nickel-based brazing material which is applied in a vacuum. The finished honeycomb is then coated with Aluminum Oxide, rare earth metals, Platinum and Rodium. The Platinum and Rhodium are applied at a rate of 25 grams per cubic foot, which compares with between 5 and 10 grams per cubic foot for typical US aftermarket items. It is normal practice in Europe to use much higher quantities of precious metals on catalysts, because European gasoline has more impurities in it which gradually poison catalysts. If catalysts with such high levels of precious metals are used with US fuels, the post-catalyst emissions are extremely low and the durability of the catalysts is very good indeed.

milltek_s4_dpandcats_fullset.jpg (95223 bytes)One other good point about using catalysts made of metal foil is that they are better at coping with localized overheating than ceramic cats. The metal conducts heat better than ceramic materials, so localized ‘hot-spots’ are avoided. This means that any melting of the catalyst is extremely unlikely, even if it is exposed to rich mixtures as a result of wild cams or modified engine management systems.
