R8 Day at Stratmosphere

Recently at Stratmosphere we were fortunate to have two fresh Audi R8s on the property for our enjoyment. Not wanting to be selfish, we decided to share that experience with you here. It was a fantastic day here in Rochester, NY to be outside and check out some awesome cars. Perfect cars, perfect day, perfect customers.

During that same week we were installing a new non-resonated Milltek R8 catback exhaust on the car shown with the custom wheels and tint. That car was equipped with most of the Audi goodies along with Alcantara and Audi's new R tronic automated manual transmission. While the R tronic doesn't seem to have the cachet of the 6-speed here in the USA we were pleased to discover that you cannot go wrong with either transmission choice.
 

After installation of the Milltek the brief test drive gave us exactly the feedback we needed. An aggressive and nearly angry sounding system that was behaved around town but packed full of smiles at your whim.

Once installation was completed and the first R8 was topped off with fuel, detailed and ready for pickup R8 number two stopped in to have a look. After the initial shock of seeing another black R8 in person (Brilliant Black versus Phantom Black) the new owner couldn't wait to hear the Milltek exhaust.

A quick demo ensued and it was smiles all around once again. It didn't take long before a 2nd R8 was booked in for installation (6-speed this time) of the Milltek Sport non-resonated catback exhaust. And just recently we completed the installation of the 2nd exhaust system and sent it's owner down the road grinning ear-to-ear.

We are privileged to have a connection with these cars and are honored to be entrusted by the owners to help them realize their dreams. It's never a bad day when you get to be in the presence of a landmark vehicle like the Audi R8, but to have two here at the same time was simply magical. Next time we are shooting for three at a time. What a great day that will be.
